Which browser is the most popular in the U.S.?
A banner for the Apple Watch popped up on the web Tuesday afternoon, and it was accompanied by a question mark in front of a question that asked: “Which browser is more popular in your area?”
As expected, the most searched-for search term on Google was “watch,” followed by “watch” and “watchOS.”
(Google didn’t immediately return a request for comment.)
Google also said that its search results are more likely to appear if there are “specific results related to Apple Watch,” and that “we will continue to improve our search results for Apple Watch in the future.”
The “watch browser” banner also appeared on Apple’s Apple News app, and on the website for the company’s Beats Music streaming service.
It’s unclear what kind of ads the site generates for the product, but Beats’ ads appear on both Apple Watch and the iPhone 6 Plus.
Apple says it does not sell ads on the Beats Music app, but its ads appear in the Apple News apps on all of its other apps, including Apple Watch.
