What’s in your inbox this week? [Weekend Update]
The internet has been full of updates from Apple on the iPhone 7s, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone X and the new iPhone XS and XS Max.
While there are plenty of rumors, there’s no confirmation yet that the upcoming iPhone will launch with a fingerprint scanner.
Apple’s press event this week focused mostly on the iPhones 7 and iPhone 7 Max, but it did offer a few surprises.
One of them was the introduction of the upcoming Apple Watch Series 3, which will be available to preorder on January 31st.
Apple says that the watch will come with a “slimmed down” design with an all-glass design and a circular band that can be customised to suit the wearer.
The company also teased that it will release a new color of the Apple Watch on January 18th, and it said that Apple Watch Sport, the newest model in the Apple watch range, will be announced in March.
It’s hard to tell if this is a rumor, but if it is, the watch could be unveiled on January 12th or early January.
It also sounds like the watch’s battery life could be improved over the previous models, as the company said it will offer up to four hours of battery life on the AppleWatch Sport model, and two hours of power on the new Apple Watch.
The Apple Watch will be launching with a new version of the iMessage app that was introduced last year, with Apple saying that it’s “designed to deliver a seamless experience for people across Apple’s ecosystem, wherever they are.”
