How to turn a web app into a marketing tool
Pioneer Web, a web design company based in Portland, Oregon, has developed a mobile marketing app that allows users to track and share their shopping and dining preferences with one another, and to send a message to a friend or family member that they are “done with the store.”
The app is a new service, not an update to a popular mobile marketing tool called Wunderlist, which was launched in 2017 and offers a similar experience, but in a much more personalized way.
The app allows users, who have an Apple Watch and an iPhone, to create an account and register a shopping list of all the items on their list.
Users then can tag each item with a unique tag, and can then send that tag to a person or person or group of people, who then can post a message about their shopping experience with the tag.
When users follow those people or groups on the list, they will be able to track their shopping habits with their own personalized information.
The idea is to be able users to look at their shopping history and then share that with their friends and family members, and potentially also have a direct conversation with those people.
A company spokesperson told ABC News that Pioneers Web was originally conceived as a way to build an audience, but it was quickly realized that users could be very active and that it would be much more valuable to use this app for its potential value to a social marketing company, rather than a social media marketing tool.
Pioneers also told ABCNews that they have now launched an online store and will soon be launching an app that will allow users to make purchases.
In an email to ABC News, a spokesperson for Pioneers told ABC affiliate KOIN that the app was designed to allow the user to “share and discover the items you’ve seen and purchased over time” and that users “can also be in touch with friends and families, share recipes, order groceries, and receive messages from loved ones.”
Pioneers has also been featured in the New York Times, Washington Post, and the Wall Street Journal.
Pioneer Web is available for free on the Apple App Store.
A few weeks ago, the company launched a new website that allows customers to sign up for a free Pioneers email list, and it also has a “My Account” section, where users can also create a profile.
The Pioneers website has also expanded to include a “Pioneers Community” section that allows Pioneers users to connect with each other on Facebook and Twitter, and an “Instagram” section for the company to showcase its new mobile marketing platform.
Pioneering has also launched a website called Pioneers.com.
It will be interesting to see how this app is received by its potential users, and whether or not the service is popular enough to warrant the price tag.
